Wilfred "Fife" Rivera Jr.'s Obituary
Wilfred Rivera Jr., affectionately known as “Fife,” was born on November 29, 1943, in Manhattan, New York, and passed away on March 4, 2026, in Hackensack, New Jersey.
A proud United States Navy veteran, Wilfred served his country from 1964 to 1969. He carried that sense of duty, pride, and strength with him throughout his life. He was deeply proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and loved sharing his culture through music, often introducing those around him to artists such as Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri.
Wilfred was known for his warm personality, welcoming spirit, and great sense of humor. He had a way of making people feel comfortable and at home, often sharing stories, laughter, and meaningful conversations with family and friends. Above all, he loved his family deeply and took great pride in the life he built with them.
He is survived by his beloved companion of over four decades, his three children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Wilfred will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, his stories, and the love he shared so freely. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
