Yogeswary Rajendram's Obituary
Mrs. Yogeswary Rajendram of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 in Manhattan, New York in the comfort of her daughter's home, surrounded by her two daughters, family and friends.
Yogeswary - or Yogam, as she was fondly known to the family, wife of the late Dr. Saddanather Rajendram, daughter of Mr. Sangarapillai Sivaramalingam and Mrs. Parapathyammal Sivaramalingam and daughter-in-law of Mr. Mayilvahanam Saddanather and Mrs. Sinnammathey Saddanather was born in Arthiaddy, Point Pedro, Sri Lanka.
Yogam's siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends remember her generosity, energetic spirit, and passionate gregarious nature. Throughout her life, she displayed unwavering strength and courage, while being kind and gentle. Towards her children, she performed her duties as a mother with the utmost devotion and selfless love.
Yoges, as she is fondly remembered by friends, was a beloved member of the Virginia Beach community. She was an elementary school teacher in the Tidewater area for more than 20 years, where she was cherished by most of her students.
Yogam was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Dr. Saddanather Rajendram, and her three brothers: Dr. S. Manickavasager, Justice S. Anandacoomaraswamy, and Dr. S. Balakrishnan. She is survived by her two daughters; Dr. Gitanjali Rajendram and Dr. Prabalini Rajendram, and her two sisters; Mrs. Thilagam Ganeson and Mrs. Saratha Sooriyakumar.
May our beloved mother/sister/aunt's Aathma rest in eternal peace at the lotus feet of Lord Natarajah.
